Webinar: A guide to health and care worker visa applications

Over the past six months, there has been a steady flow of 2,000–3,000 Health and Care Worker visa applications submitted each month, accounting for a significant share of all work visa applications. 

With the ever-increasing demand for qualified doctors, nurses and health and adult social care professionals and complex requirements to meet, it is essential to understand the steps involved to avoid delays and refusals.

In this webinar, we will guide you through the process of applying for a Health and Care Worker visa and provide you with our top tips for ensuring the application is successful.

We will discuss the key requirements, including:

• being sponsored by a UK employer that has been approved by the Home Office
• having a job offer and a valid ‘certificate of sponsorship’ from the employer at the date of application
• meeting the minimum salary requirements 
• satisfying the English language requirement

Additionally, we will explore what visa holders can and cannot do while in the UK, who is eligible to bring family members with them and how much it all costs.

Joanna Hunt. Joanna is the Head of Immigration at DAC Beachcroft. She represents businesses and public sector bodies in relation to their immigration needs which includes providing advice on work-based visas, sponsor licence compliance, prevention of illegal working and global mobility.
