A few weeks ago, Channel 4 showed a documentary as part of the Unreported World series. The title was Mugabe’s Reign of Terror. The production company, Quicksilver Media, have taken the view that the programme is in the public domain and have made the transcript available, although they have pointed out that it isn’t intended as a legal document and they can’t guarantee the accuracy of its contents. They are also willing to make DVDs of the documentary available.

Of particular interest to asylum lawyers may be the part where an interviewee in Bulawayo claims that HIV/AIDS retroviral treatment is only made available to ZANU-PF supporters with a membership card or party letter (part 31 of the transcript).

I haven’t been in touch with Quicksilver myself but don’t really want to explain how I came by the document, perhaps though excessive caution on my part.
