I’ve been silent on this so far for fear of losing my rag. There is much distress still, and criticism of the administrators seems to be growing. Alan George and George Joffe are seeking to hold the Legal Services Commission directly responsible for payment for their unpaid expert reports and are withholding permission for their unpaid-for reports to be used by alternative providers, unless the LSC coughs up.
As the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal could testify, a letter from Carter Ruck is never a welcome thing…
In the meantime, there is a skeleton staff of 30 or so still employed by RMJ to wind down the business and transfer the files to other providers.

Not sure your headline on this is quite right. “RN constrained” might be more like it. Far from affirming RN the CoA regreted that it was bound to consider only whether the AIT had correctly applied RN even though it considered it probably to be out of date. I should have thought that if anything the CoA’s observations might encourage a few more IJs to depart from RN on the subsequent evidence?
Good comment, but wrong place and while I can delete I can’t move, I’m afraid!
