This webinar provides immigration advisers with a comprehensive overview of the UK’s Student visa route, covering key eligibility requirements, the application process and common pitfalls.
The Student route is the primary method for students across the globe to access the UK’s world-renowned education system.
A sponsored immigration route sitting as part of the points-based system, it provides for those seeking to study in the UK for courses of 6 months or more, all the way from A-Level (RQF Level 3) up to PhD study (RQF Level 8).
This webinar aims to provide an overview of the Student route and how it functions, and how those seeking to come to the UK to study need to prepare to make their applications. The Student route has a wide ranging set of eligibility requirements that applicants need to meet and we will touch on these throughout, including financial requirements, course requirements, time limits, and academic progress rules.
We will also discuss the requirements of the route in the context of applications made inside or outside the UK as the location of application influences what eligibility requirements are applied.
Finally, we’ll provide information on what applicants need to pay particular attention to when making applications, some common errors and how to avoid them, and the conditions that those with Student permission are subject to once in the UK.

It’s a great way to gain foundational understanding of immigration law that is digestible yet still comprehensive. I liked how interactive the class was where we were encouraged to utilise our knowledge and test our understanding.
Detailed but not overwhelming. The examples where good and illustrated complex parts well. The quiz at the end was very good.
I thought the test questions were helpful. The language used was clear. The visuals for more complicated parts of the rules were great.
Very clear language, useful examples, links to relevant further information, legislation, etc.
