Length of course: 1 hour

About this course

This course was last updated in December 2023.

The aim of this short course is to give you an understanding of the main work-based visa category within the Immigration Rules: the Skilled Worker route. The course is aimed at immigration practitioners who are new to this area, or who have a handle on the basics but would like a more thorough understanding. (Those coming at things completely fresh may wish to first take our Introduction to work and study visas course.)

We will go through the key steps that underpin a Skilled Worker application. The course should leave you equipped to negotiate this sometimes complex and ever-evolving area.

The course is only available to paying members of Free Movement. If you are not already a member, you can join here and access not just this course but all of our courses. Membership starts from £22 plus VAT per month, or £220 plus VAT for annual membership, and you can cancel at any time. We also offer corporate and group membership options.
