Reports to: Head of Legal Practice
Salary: circa £33,000 p/a (depending on experience)
                5% employer pension contribution
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible or part-time working also considered)

This is a newly-created role for an experienced public law or immigration law solicitor who can lead on ATLEU’s training and capacity building work. The successful candidate will work closely with ATLEU’s Director and team of specialist solicitors to develop innovative ways to empower professionals working with victims of trafficking to use the law. This will include delivering a 3 year project to empower organisations providing support services to victims of trafficking across the UK, to take a rights-based approach to assisting victims, ensuring that they are correctly identified and receive the support they are entitled to. The project is being funded by the Baring Foundation.

Alongside training and capacity-building activities the successful candidate will maintain a small legal aid caseload which will enable them to fee earn and keep their knowledge current. The case load will include public law cases challenging failures under the ‘Anti Trafficking Convention’, particularly failures to identify victims and failures to provide them with appropriate support.

This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about developing others. It is intended that the role will be based in ATLEU’s Sheffield office. ATLEU is open to flexible-working and remote-working arrangements.

Deadline for applications is 10am on Monday 15th July 2019. Find out more and apply: atleu.org.uk/job-vacancies
