Immigration Solicitor
Full Time: Salary on enquiry
We are a long-established London-based law firm focusing on protecting and advancing human rights. We are recruiting for an immigration solicitor.
We are an experienced department practising in a wide range of immigration matters. We deal with cases from the initial application through to appeals and judicial reviews against negative decisions. We act in standard immigration and nationality matters, as well as complex and precedent setting litigation before the statutory tribunals including the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC), the higher courts, and in the European Court of Human Rights.
We are committed to providing high quality representation and advice.
The successful applicant will have recent professional experience of providing immigration casework in a legal or advice setting, and a commitment to maintaining a significant caseload of SIAC and other complex and demanding national security matters, alongside a broader immigration, nationality, and public law caseload.
Qualifications and experience:
- Immigration and Asylum accreditation Senior Caseworker, ideally with the additional supervisor qualification, otherwise a willingness to obtain this qualification within the first 6 months of employment.
- Experience of working under a Legal Aid Agency contract
Terms and conditions include:
- Pension Scheme
- Flexible working policy
- 23 days’ holiday per year plus bank holidays (rising to 25 days after 5 years)
