Raza's core areas of practice are British nationality, challenges to administrative detention, international protection, asylum and general immigration law, as well as interlocking areas concerning criminal law and mental health. Raza is frequently instructed in urgent applications seeking injunctive relief against removal, often working with NGOs and medical charities to that end.
