The Free Movement website has gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months. Readership has increased massively, to an average of over 300,000 page views per month. Ebook sales are going well and membership has gone up by 20% to 1,200 active members. Innovative fixed cost online legal services are now provided to members of the public via a partner, Seraphus Solicitors.
The day to day management demands of Free Movement have also increased. There is now a small team of writers and an administrative assistant to co-ordinate.
In order to focus more on writing and my other work, I am seeking to recruit a new deputy editor to write and co-ordinate the production of new content.
The role can be part time and very flexible. I can provide training and guidance both at the outset and on an ongoing basis. You can see a full job specification here.
To apply, please upload as a single, combined pdf document using the form below:
- A one page covering letter explaining why you are a suitable candidate, stating your salary expectations
- A CV no more than two pages long
- An example of a piece of writing you consider showcases your ability to communicate fluently and clearly.
Please save these documents in a single pdf format file, name the file “[your name] application” (e.g. “Jo Bloggs application.pdf”) and upload the pdf file using the form below.
The closing date for applications is 31 July 2017 at 5pm.
If creating, combining and uploading a pdf document is too complex for you, you are not well suited to the role, which is a self starting role requiring a very high level of software literacy and adaptability. This job is being advertised widely and we are anticipating a large number of applications; we may not be able to respond personally to all applicants.
