About this webinar

The Student route is the primary method for students across the globe to access the UK’s world-renowned education system.

A sponsored immigration route sitting as part of the points-based system, it provides for those seeking to study in the UK for courses of 6 months or more, all the way from A-Level (RQF Level 3) up to PhD study (RQF Level 8).

This webinar provided an overview of the Student route and how it functions, and how those seeking to come to the UK to study need to prepare to make their applications. The Student route has a wide ranging set of eligibility requirements that applicants need to meet and we touched on these throughout, including financial requirements, course requirements, time limits, and academic progress rules.

We also discussed the requirements of the route in the context of applications made inside or outside the UK as the location of application influences what eligibility requirements are applied.

Finally, we provided information on what applicants need to pay particular attention to when making applications, some common errors and how to avoid them, and the conditions that those with Student permission are subject to once in the UK.
