Vacancies for a full-time paralegal
Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP is a niche private immigration and nationality practice, rated Band 1 by both Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500.
We are seeking to appoint a paralegal to support the solicitors at the firm with their active caseloads involving a full range of immigration, nationality, and asylum matters.
The contract is permanent (following a three-month probation period); the salary is initially £25,661, rising to £29,051 after 6 months; and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm.
Successful candidates will be required to work at our offices near Waterloo station full-time while on probation, following which there is an option to work from home two days a week.
We are looking for a graduate who is aware of, and interested in, the issues surrounding immigration and has a commitment to equality and human rights, and to promoting the rights of migrants. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritise and manage deadlines.
This position is very much one where you learn “on-the-job”. Many of the tasks are administrative but, subject to performance, you will be given increasingly complex tasks, more responsibilities, and more control over cases, although always under a solicitor’s supervision.
Ideally, the successful candidate will start in mid November 2024 (though there may be flexibility).
How to apply
To apply, please return the following documents to jobs@gryklaw.com by the end of Sunday 15th of September 2024:
- A covering letter clearly stating why you are interested in this role; how your experience and skills match the role; and when you will be available to start, and
- Up-to-date CV
We welcome applications from all candidates who meet the person specification regardless of age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or race.
Please mention FreeMovement if you found the job post on their website.
