4. A haunting Home Office refusal letter
How about this sentence: “There is no evidence to show that you have made any positive contribution to society”? Often found in a paragraph all on its own, as if to emphasise the inhumanity. Of all the Home Office’s cookie-cutter reasons for refusal, this one haunts me the most.
