Post: Immigration caseworker / solicitor

Reports to: Immigration supervisor

Salary: £21,000 to £27,000 p/a (depending on experience and level of accreditation)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Leave: 28 days including bank holidays

Location: Sheffield (with regular visits to ATLEU’s London office)

This newly-created role aims to increase ATLEU’s provision of immigration advice to survivors of trafficking in Sheffield and the surrounding areas. The caseworker will provide legal and administrative support to ATLEU’s immigration and public law casework team and support the Immigration Supervisor in the efficient delivery of ATLEU’s immigration advice service.

This is a fee earning role. It is line managed by the Immigration Supervisor. Two years’ funding has been secured for the post, following which it is anticipated that the caseworker will sustain through fee-earning under the legal aid contract.

ATLEU welcomes applications from candidates with differing levels of experience. It is envisaged that candidates may include those at the start of their legal career with limited immigration casework experience, those who have not yet obtained OISC accreditation at a higher level, and more experienced candidates currently practising as an immigration caseworker or solicitor with OISC level 3 or IAAS level 2 accreditation. The successful candidate will be intelligent, resilient, an exceptional communicator and passionate about ATLEU’s mission and values.

This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about helping survivors of trafficking to secure safety and justice. The role is based in ATLEU’s Sheffield office.
